Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday announced President Bola Tinubu would launch the Lagos Red Line Rail on February 29.
Sanwo-Olu disclosed this at the formal launch of the Lagos Market Trader Money initiative at the Blue Roof, LTV, Ikeja, Lagos.
He said that the rail system is a manifestation of the agenda started by the President when he was Governor of Lagos State about 20 years ago.
“I am happy to announce to you that the Railway Redline will be commissioned on the 29th of this month. The Redline commence from Ikeja”, Sanwo – Olu disclosed
“President Bola Tinubu, has pledged to commissioned one of the work that he started about 20 years ago that we are actualizing.
“The railway will be conveying passengers and goods from Iju, Agabdo to Agege, Mushin, Oshodi to Yaba, Ebute – Metta
“It will be a mass transit that will be conveying people, goods, workers and students”, he added.
